Innovation is the key to success. Whether it's a sandwich that requires
directions to eat, yet lasts a month un-refrigerated, or an ipod that don't need
ever need to be connected to the computer to get your music fix fixed. If
you have a crazy idea, maybe it isn't that crazy after all.
Some of the most successful businesses have started really small, and then caught
fire. Google is probably one of the best examples of this. It was
started by some graduate students in their dorm rooms and it now has become the
most widely used search engine out there. The same can be said for you
if you have a good idea and happen to be a grad living in a dormitory. All
you need is a good marketing strategy, and the insight to be able to make predictions
on what will be the next hit item to catch the eye of the public at large.
To be a successful marketer you need to have the capacity to think outside the
box (especially if you have previously worked for Keebler food manufacturing
company). You need to be able to market your products in a means that no
one has tried before because innovation breads growth and creativity while remaining
locked in your set ways, repeating the actions of the past leads to neglect and
poverty.
To be a successful business person you also need to be able to make predictions
as to what is the most productive means of your time. If time was not a
factor you could carefully build ever last feature of your product from the ground
up, test it and make sure that it is what the populous wants, then slowly and
deliberately implement a carefully crafted plan of action towards gaining the
maximum profit possible. However if you do not have that time to spend,
seeing what things are most important is a good strategy for success.
